| MCM Tutorial #2 Gateless Start |
|
Here is a quickie on how to get rid of the
start gate. I have only found success when placing a new spline and when placing the gate near the node where you started
splining. I suggest you make test track to start with. A big thanks goes to
DBR_suesman for figuring this out.

1. Spline your track.
2. Stop splining near the finish, then Close your spline (duh).
3. Select your first node, then click the Place Gate button.
4. Select the next node, click the Place Funnel button and click
on your track where you want the back of the funnel to be.
*Now is a good time to save

5. Select the green gate, then press the Delete Node button.
6. You spline should look like image below.
7. This is the most tricky part: Select the first node and then click Place Gate button. Hopefully only the red line shows up. If you see a green line, then choose another node near by and Place Gate again. Anytime you see the green line, the start gate will show up in the game so you want a redline only. If it doesn't work, start over and try again. You know how dillo is! ;o).
